About the Position
The Office of Human Resources and Payroll Services of Pitzer College seeks a sharp, fast-paced and friendly individual with entry-level human resources experience. The Human Resources Coordinator assists with a broad range of human resource administrative and technical work to provide day-to-day support to the Office of Human Resources and Payroll Services. This position manages a high-volume of documents, emails and phone calls along with high level customer service situations. Work Hours: This position works 40 hours per week. The regular hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a one-hour lunch. These hours may vary due to needs of the College or department
You are a quick-learner, highly dependable, and can easily and quickly switch between tasks. You have experience managing a high-volume of documents, emails and phone calls with attention to detail, and can maintain composure in difficult situations. You are comfortable being the first point of contact and have a friendly and positive personality.
You have outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and an excellent telephone presence while managing multiple telephone lines. You can provide information in simple and concise terms to a diverse range of individuals. You have the ability to work independently, and collaboratively as part of a team and with diverse populations.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and a min of three years or Human Resources experience and office support work experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Other: Must have valid driver’s license and a driving record insurable under the College’s General Liability policy. Must be able to drive self to/from nearby off campus locations. Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish preferred.
Rate of Pay: This position is paid every two weeks on an hourly basis at a rate that is commensurate with the required qualifications. The pay range will be available to interviewed applicants by written request to the Office of Human Resources at StaffJobs@pitzer.edu.
